My Morning Skincare routine

My skincare routine is an essential part of my life. It helps my skin stay in good condition by preventing acne, treating wrinkles, and helping keep the skin looking its best. I dedicate about ten minutes every morning to my self-care ritual. As someone who prioritizes being financially responsible, I ensure that the quality and price of the items I buy are balanced. I’m very careful with the quality of the products I use and their source, so I invest in products supported by scientific research and of top-notch quality. That said, I make sure that the price I’m paying is for the quality of the product and not for the brand name. Finally, I prefer those free of parabens and fragrances when selecting products, as they can cause skin irritation.

I am happy to share my top self-care product recommendations with you. You can trust that these options are affordable and offer exceptional quality, proving that expensive doesn’t always equate to better quality, contrary to what some brands may lead you to believe. Leave me a comment below if you have any recommendations for me or if this post helped you.

Skincare products

My skin journey has been a continuous process. Over time, I have faced various challenges. Sometimes, my skin tends to be dry, while it becomes oily on other occasions. Additionally, I sometimes experience acne and melasma. As you may already know, these challenges often occur in phases and can be quite exasperating. However, I finally found the products that work for me and have improved my skin significantly. I’ll be listing them in the order of application.

Vitamin C serum

RoC Multi Correxion Revive + Glow 10% Vitamin C

The first product I apply in the morning is a Vitamin C serum. I have been using The RoC Multi Correxion Revive + Glow 10% Vitamin C Blend Face Moisturizer for a while now. Guys, this serum is only $20 at the time of this writing, and the quality is excellent. I love this serum because out of the many I have tried, this one doesn’t irritate my skin or oxidize as others do. One effect I love the most about this product is the beautiful dewy look it leaves on the skin. It’s no wonder this serum has received over four thousand reviews with an almost five-star rating on Amazon after trying it myself. Lastly, All Roc products are clinically proven, which is very important to me because it provides an objective, third-party measurement of the safety and efficacy of a product.

CeraVe Daily Moisturizing Lotion for Dry Skin

The next product I use is a good moisturizer, and after trying several, I have found the best one; The CeraVe Daily Moisturizing Lotion for Dry Skin. Not only is this affordable, but it is excellent for dry skin. It has Hyaluronic Acid and Ceramides to help retain the skin’s natural moisture and help restore and maintain the skin’s natural barrier. What I love the most about CeraVes’ products is that they are fragrance-free, allergy-tested, non-comedogenic, and developed with Dermatologists. This is a must for me because I have sensitive skin, and I pay a lot of attention to what I put on my skin.

The next item in my morning routine is reliable sunscreen – an absolute must for numerous reasons. It helps prevents sunburn, skin cancer, and premature aging. However, not all sunscreens are created equal. There are chemical and mineral or (physical) sunscreens. I prefer using mineral sunscreen as they are known to be more effective and potentially healthier for the skin and environment. You can read more about the main differences between these here. One of the drawbacks of mineral sunscreen is the cast many of them leave on the skin and the thick texture. However, these two are lightweight and leave little to no residue. Lastly, you don’t have to break the bank to buy them because they are affordable and of excellent quality.

This Translucent Powder Sunscreen is perfect for touch-ups throughout the day. It offers broad spectrum SPF 30 protection and is made of 100% mineral sunscreen powder. I love Its compact size because it is incredibly easy to carry in my purse and the pleasant skin finish. However, it contains a slight fragrance, which is not my preference in skincare. Nevertheless, my skin has not shown any signs of irritation from using it.

SKINCARE TREATMENTS

Paula’s Choice 8% AHA & 2% BHA Liquid Duo-Facial Exfoliants for Blackheads, Enlarged Pores, Wrinkles, and Fine Line

I usually get blackheads on my nose and chin, which I hate. I have tried many products to help me with that, and they were too aggressive for my sensitive skin. However, a Youtuber recommended these two products in one of her videos, and I tried them— I love them. OMG, these are the best exfoliant I have come across. I use the one in the black bottle two to three times a week and the one in the white bottle once weekly. Let me tell you that I no longer have these ugly blackheads on my nose and chin. Lastly, I use the BHA exfoliant on my bikini area and elbows to help reduce hyperpigmentation caused by frequent shaving. This has been extremely helpful for me.

Niacinamide 10% With Zinc 1% 30ml 1 floz Face Serum

To complete my skincare routine, I use top-quality and affordable Niacinamide. It’s an essential product I use once a week to keep my skin free from blemishes and congestion, giving it a clear and healthy look.

Essential for WomenMultivitamin 18+

As you may know, beauty starts from within, so I also support my inner health with good vitamins. I use Essential for Women 18+ by Ritual. Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides with Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin C, Unflavored.

Every morning, I add collagen to my coffee as a part of my routine. A few years ago, I started feeling self-conscious about my hair loss and began searching for products that could help. After a thorough search, I discovered Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides Powder. I like that it is sourced from grass-fed, pasture-raised cows, so I tried it. I’ve been using it ever since and have noticed significant improvements, particularly with my hair. However, it’s difficult to attribute these results solely to this product. Thus, it’s essential to try it out for yourself and see if it works for you.
